Yes! Both the MX-1 Conversion Kit and the APEX Bullpup Rifle Conversion lines are built to handle aftermarket muzzle devices, including sound suppressors ("cans"). However, because our systems utilize extended match barrels to clear the forward frame, you must follow specific layout rules to ensure safety and function:
Our 9-inch extended match barrels feature a precision-cut external muzzle thread (such as 1/2" x 28 RH for standard 9mm variations) that extends completely clear past the front polymer frame housing.
Clearance Profile: Because the muzzle threads sit forward of the front frame shroud, you do not need to worry about the outer diameter (OD) thickness of your suppressor. Both thin rimfire cans and thick, heavy pistol suppressors can be threaded directly onto the exposed barrel tip without touching the chassis structure.
If you are running our 16-inch rifle-length conversion setup, the muzzle extends out past the compact bullpup handguard tracking line.
Thread Readiness: Ensure you purchased the Threaded Configuration variant of our 16" standalone barrel line. Unthreaded barrel configurations feature a solid, uniform muzzle cap profile and cannot accept silencer attachments.
⚠️ Warning on Factory Threaded Pistol Barrels: You cannot use a standard factory-length threaded pistol barrel (like a stock 4.5" threaded Glock barrel) inside our chassis conversion kits. Standard handgun barrels are too short and would vent high-pressure gases and carbon blowout inside the polymer chassis shroud, leading to catastrophic frame failure, property damage, or severe personal injury. Always utilize our dedicated 9" or 16" match conversion barrels.
⚖️ Important Regulatory Disclaimer: Suppressor ownership, NFA tax stamp mandates, and threaded barrel restrictions vary widely by state. META Tactical does not provide legal advice. Always verify current federal, state, and local ordinances before mounting a muzzle device or suppressor to your build.
