🛠️ Step-by-Step Installation Guide

🛑 Phase 1: Firearm Disassembly & Factory Barrel Removal

  1. Establish Safety: Remove the magazine from the grip frame and visually/physically check the chamber to ensure the firearm is completely clear and safe.

  2. Clear the Lockup: Pull the slide rearward approximately 0.25″ (a quarter of an inch) and hold it firmly in position.

  3. Release the Slide: Pull down on the frame's slide lock levers, release the slide forward smoothly, and release the slide lock.

  4. Remove the Slide: Pull the slide completely forward off the front of the gun frame.

  5. Extract Internals: Compress and remove the factory recoil spring assembly from the underside of the slide.

  6. Remove Barrel: Lift and remove the short factory barrel out of the slide assembly.

🔄 Phase 2: Installing the 16″ Rifle Barrel & Reassembly

  1. Drop in the 16″ Barrel: Insert your new META Tactical 16″ barrel into the slide, ensuring the lugs seat completely flush into the slide recess.

  2. Replace Spring: Re-install your recoil spring assembly back into position against the new barrel lug.

  3. Mount Slide to Frame: Re-install the modified slide assembly onto the gun frame by sliding it smoothly from the front of the gun to the rear.

  4. Track Alignment: Make sure the internal frame rails are perfectly engaged with the slide rails as you rack it back into battery.

📦 Phase 3: Inserting the Firearm into the Chassis

  1. Open the Chassis Gate: Press the primary release button on the chassis frame and swing open the rear door completely.

  2. Seat the Handgun: Insert the gun into the chassis housing, sliding it parallel along the internal guides until it clicks home.

  3. Lock the Entry Door: Close the rear door firmly until you hear the primary button click securely back into its locked detent.

  4. Set the Pin: Push the retention pin cleanly back into the chassis structure.

  5. Mount the Muzzle Device: Take your muzzle device and screw the compensator clockwise onto the exposed threads of the 16″ barrel until it sits completely flush and hand-tight.

  6. Function Check: Firmly pull the slide back using the external charging handle to verify smooth cycling and proper spring tension.
