Troubleshooting Suppressed Chassis Cycling & Jamming Issues

My suppressed chassis is having cycling issues. How do I fix this?

Most modern semi-automatic pistols use a browning action, tilting-barrel (short-recoil) system.
Adding an extended barrel and a heavy suppressor adds a lot of mass, which can disrupt the timing of the action and cause jamming.

If you run into performance or cycling issues, try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Use a Suppressor Booster (Nielsen Device): Ensure your suppressor is equipped with a spring-loaded booster assembly (Nielsen device)This momentarily decouples the weight of the suppressor from the barrel during firing, allowing the firearm to unlock and cycle reliably.

  • Ammunition: Make sure you are using subsonic ammunition.
  • Recoil Spring: The factory guide rod spring may be too stiff for the setup. Swapping to a lighter recoil spring will improve cycling with a long barrel and a heavy suppressor
